Business Women Can: Ulster Bank Continues Support for Women in Business

  • Ulster Bank has the products, financial and supports ready to support business women. That was the message to female business leaders and entrepreneurs at an Ulster Bank Business Women Can event in Belfast on Friday.

    The Bank’s Business Women Can programme provides online and local support, which aims to offer help and understanding on the specific challenges to women starting, running or managing businesses.

    Kate Marshall, Chairperson of Women In Business NI, was the keynote speaker. Kate is an experienced thought leader, facilitator and CEO coach, with over 20 years’ experience at the top levels of business. Other speakers were Ellvena Graham, Head of Ulster Bank Northern Ireland and Managing Director of SME Banking; Anne McReynolds, CEO of The Mac and Lorna Robinson, Managing Director of Cloughbane Farm Food.

    Speaking at the event Ellvena Graham said: “I am delighted to be here with a group of successful and dynamic women to share our experiences and insights. Ulster Bank is a proud supporter of female entrepreneurship and we are always ready to support business in Northern Ireland. Recently we announced that we have dedicated £1 billion for business lending this year and held hugely successful support and networking events across Northern Ireland, to help companies in planning for 2014 and beyond.”

    Ulster Bank’s Business Women Can ambassadors are trained and focussed on understanding the products, services and practical support tools needed when starting or running a business and committed to supporting businesswomen across Ireland.
