Key activities will include but not limited to the following:
Working closely with Senior Architects and Engineering Management to ensure a thorough understanding of software requirements
Working closely with members of the architecture team to design various components and functionality of Accelerite/ AEPONA Products and solutions
Involvement in the implementation stage of the development lifecycle using Java and various Java development tools
Contribute to the review of design documentation, code and test strategies Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
An honours degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equally relevant subject)
At least 3 years postgraduate software development experience involving all phases of the software development lifecycle
2-3 years of experience in Java development
Experience in multi-threaded server side Java programming
Knowledge/experience in the use of the Spring Framework
Proven experience in the use of Intellij, JUnit, Hibernate, Liquibase and Maven
Experience of working according to a Quality Management System
Working effectively within a team
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational skills
Flexibility toward travelling when required
Desirable Criteria:
Experience in using Amazon Web Services, Azure or Bluemix
Experience in the use of Database Software eg Postgres within development projects
Experience working in an Agile Development environment
