Strategic Reconciliations Project Manager

    Team/Role Overview

    Operations Optimization and Enablement is a growing team of focused individuals targeting key initiatives aimed at reducing risk and growing capacity within Operations. Using leading market tooling we're looking to effectively deliver true transformation across key foundational processes to enable the bank's mission of simplicity and client focus.

     The Project Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. The Strategic Reconciliations program is one of the division’s top programs of work with a global remit, senior and wide ranging stakeholders.

     

    What you'll do

    • Responsible for the day to day management of executing to milestones and budget on one or more projects.

    • Assess creation and ensure sign-off of project plan, charter, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log. Responsible for ensuring project hygiene is exemplary.

    • Work within Citi’s policy guidelines to ensure that all programs and projects adhere to the firm’s project management standard. Responsible for ensuring ongoing adherence and any risk/ issue management.

    • Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand project schedule and key milestones.

    • Escalate project risks to the Project Director, or Project Sponsor, when appropriate.

    • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.

    • Persuades and influences others through developed communication and diplomacy skills with colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.

    • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

    This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

     

    What we'll need from you

    • Extensive  relevant experience within a Financial environment.  

    • Experience with the delivery of complex risk and control related project experience within reconciliations is a plus.

    • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and other collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives

    • Solid working knowledge of capital markets operations.

    • Requires basic commercial awareness.

    • Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required – individual needs to demonstrate experience with stakeholder management and has the ability to communicate across multi-executive levels.
