Free five day digital Facebook challenge launched to help women in their careers

  •  Leadership coach Sinead Sharkey Steenson will use digital technology to deliver a free five day Facebook challenge aimed at helping women get back on track with their career.

Sinead Sharkey Steenson is using digital technology on her one-woman-mission to support 1,000,000 women in their careers. The new five day digital Facebook challenge is free to women, no matter where they live in the world and starts on September 20th (although the closing date for registration will be a few days before).

The event is aimed at supporting and motivating women to get their career mojo back; to be seen and heard, act with confidence and influence, get the next promotion and get noticed at work.

Sinead started the Challenge because she was fed up with women getting looked over when it came to career progression; exacerbated by the Pandemic. Sinead also said that: “Lockdown and the additional pressure on women, has been the final straw in the equality battle, with women picking up the slack in what has now been dubbed ‘The Pink Pandemic'.”

Numerous reports back up what Sinead has said. According to PWC progress for women in work will be back to 2017 levels by the end of the year. The WRDA have also released a report that revealed women’s careers and job prospects have been negatively impacted due to the pandemic.

Sinead has responded to this news by taking a good humoured but proactive and no-nonsense approach stating: “There will be no Cinderellas on my watch.”

The course will aim to motivate and teach participants how to: get clear on what they want, stop wasting time on doing things that get other people promoted, ask their boss for a pay rise in a can’t say no way, rip off the invisibility cloak and build a vision board on steroids.

Past challengers have said the challenge made them feel unstoppable.
