Ulster Bank launches its new 'all-in-one' banking service

  • Ulster Bank has just launched its new 'all-in-one' bank account service, allowing customers to see accounts from 15 different banks from a single mobile app.

The past several years have seen several moves to make banking easier and more transparent, and now Ulster Bank has taken things one step further with their new 'all-in-one' banking service. This service uses a new Open Banking standard to allow customers to securely view all of their accounts from other banks inside the Ulster Bank app.

A total of 15 major UK banks have signed up to the Open Banking information-sharing scheme so far, allowing their bank information to be accessed from each other's apps once you give them permission. Information you can access about accounts from other banks includes both your account balances and full transaction log, so now you can keep track of all of your accounts in a single place on your phone.

Frans Woelders, Chief Digital Officer, Ulster Bank Personal Banking, said: "This is an important step in our mission to transform our digital services, focusing on digital innovation and using the latest Open Banking technology, to help make people’s banking lives easier. This feature is the first in a number of innovations we are working on to help customers manage their money more effectively and improve their financial wellbeing."
