Instil Software wins Irish Fit Out Award 2018

  • Thursday, November 1 Instil won the Fit Out Project of the Year - Small Office under €500k at the Fit Out Awards in Dublin.

One of Northern Ireland’s top software development and training companies, Instil Software (Instil) has just been announced as winner of the 2018 Irish Fit out Awards small office under €500k category at last night’s prestige awards held in Convention Centre Dublin.

Now in their 7th year, the Fit Out Awards are a much-coveted accolade as they recognise outstanding work in the office fit out market and seek to commend the people and clients who drive these projects.

Each year the awards have grown in scale and once again the awards attracted a large number of high calibre entries across 26 categories.

Having recently moved offices due to 5 years of sustained year on year growth, Instil were looking for a design partner to turn an empty office space into a dynamic and exciting workspace within a specific timeframe.

Portadown based firm, Terry Design were appointed to take on the challenge.

Instil CEO Tara Simpson said: "I cannot praise Terry's enough for every aspect of our completed office. We are beyond delighted, not only with the finished product but with the whole process - from start to finish. Their team is calm, professional, reassuring and above all, passionate about quality and great design. As a bespoke software company, we needed the office to reflect our own passion for craftsmanship and quality, and this is clearly evident in the finish of all their bespoke fittings. They empathised with our needs, adapted the designs as our requirements matured, and they topped everything with beautiful, one-off furniture that has wowed every single person walking into this space."

The new kitted out office space has also had a tremendous impact on employees: “What has been most apparent for us is that since we moved into our new office space in October 2017, team morale has been enhanced. Our open plan community area allows us to have informal staff breakouts, meetings and social events and we have made great use this summer of our terrace for lunchtime BBQs!

Our new office space has allowed us to increase our staff employment rates by 400% over the last 6 months when compared with the previous 6 months. This is in line with our growth plans. We have also seen a decrease in staff turnover rates by 67% for the same period ". (Richard Bell, Head of Delivery)

All winners were revealed at the official awards last night in Dublin. Other category winners included RCSI, Press Up Entertainment Group, Ardmac, Hubspot Dublin and MOLA Architecture.
