Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry has encouraged graduates to apply for the PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Data Analytics Academy 2015.
The Data Analytics Academy is now in its second year and provides graduates with the skills and experience required to take up exciting opportunities in PwC data analytics, a key growth area in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry.
Minister Farry said: “I encourage graduates to consider applying for the Data Analytics Academy, which will open up a fantastic employment opportunity upon completion. The results from the Academy model are an excellent example of government intervention to enhance the skills of unemployed graduates whilst providing skills that employers have identified as a requirement for future economic growth.”
The Data Analytics Academy has been designed by the Department for Employment and Learning, PwC and Belfast Metropolitan College under the Assured Skills initiative. Targeting degree graduates from any discipline, it will offer an intensive eight week training programme to 14 successful applicants. Successful participants will gain industry recognised skills and a potential offer of employment with PwC.

Applications to PwC’s Data Analytics Academy will close on Friday 12 June 2015 at 6pm and the training programme for successful applicants will commence on Monday 3 August 2015. The training will be delivered by the Belfast Metropolitan College.
