  • The Digital DNA Awards, in partnership with MCS Group, are back and promise to be a spectacular evening celebrating local success in international and regional markets. The awards recognise individuals, projects and companies who are excelling within the world of technology.

Digital DNA’s Commercial Director Simon Bailie commented on the awards: “Digital DNA has been at the forefront of the business and technology community in Northern Ireland since 2013, and we are always looking for individuals or organisations that are the trailblazers of tech in both local and international markets.

“It is a testament to what Digital DNA has become over the past five years to be able to attract over 500 industry leaders to an event such as this to celebrate the best of what Northern Ireland has to offer. The third annual Digital DNA Awards will not only showcase some of the best digital exports to come out of Northern Ireland, but also the most creative and talented individuals and organisations that are at the pinnacle of innovation, driving the local economy.

“We believe that individuals, organisations and projects that harness the power of technology in a fast-paced global economy need to be celebrated and rewarded. These awards are for the companies and individuals that challenge that status quo, not follow it.”

Digital DNA will award success in its many forms across 12 categories, ranging from Digital Project of the Year, Developer of the Year, Best Small Tech Company & the highly coveted Company of the Year, which this year will be awarded by ‘The Jury’ from the shortlist of all categories. It will be further highlighted by the Official Media Partner for the Digital DNA Awards, Sync NI.

Last year, the Digital DNA Awards was the first major event of its kind in St Anne’s Cathedral with over 500 guests dining under the roof of the 119-year-old landmark. As nominations open, the competition will be fierce across twelve categories covering all things tech. This year, the trendy awards evening returns to St Anne’s Cathedral and will be hosted by presenter and local girl, Zoe Salmon and comedian Andrew Ryan.

Zoe is most well known for her appearance as a presenter on Blue Peter and has appeared on a number of regional and national programmes over the past number of years. Andrew Ryan is one of the most exciting stand up talents in recent years. Andrew’s quintessentially Irish storytelling abilities and cheeky, friendly demeanour make him a natural stand up and he’s thrilled to be entertaining, the guests during the awards evening.

Speaking at the new MCS Group offices in Flax House, Sean Devlin, Associate Director of MCS Group said: “We’re excited to be showcasing our move to Flax House today along with Zoe and the Digital DNA team. The expansion of our own team is testament to the growing number of digital and tech-based roles in Northern Ireland. We’re really looking forward to welcoming our clients and candidates into our new home in the heart of Belfast.

Digital DNA plays a huge part in highlighting the contributors in this space, as well as highlighting our diverse and collaborative network of world class talent.
