  • Fathom, a leading user experience agency and one of only two dedicated UX specialists on the island of Ireland, has won the Small Agency of the Year Award at the 2016 eir Spiders.

The eir Spiders are one of the most highly-regarded business awards in the Irish digital calendar, and have now been recognising the very best in digital across the island of Ireland for 21 years.

This year’s Small Agency of the Year Award recognised Fathom’s stellar UX work and its commitment to promoting user experience both at home and abroad. Announcing the agency’s win, the MC for the eir Spiders, Panti Bliss, said: "For quality of delivery on projects both nationally and internationally, and for providing consistently outstanding ROI for their clients, the award for Small Agency of the Year goes to…Fathom!"

Fathom, which was founded in Belfast in 2011, has worked with an impressive roster of high profile clients, including Kainos, Invest NI, Ulster University, Enterprise Ireland, Tesco Mobile and Three.

In addition to being recognised as Ireland’s Small Agency of the Year, Fathom was also recognised with the ‘Best in UX’ award at the eir Spiders.

Gareth Dunlop, CEO and Founder of Fathom, said: "We have always had confidence in the quality of our work, and have consistently achieved great results for our clients, helping them sell more, saving them money and helping them gain an edge on their competitors.  To be recognised by our peers in this way is a tremendous validation of the hard work of the team here."

Congratulating the winners, Lisa Kelly, Head of Marketing at eir Business and chair of the judging panel for the eir Spider Awards, said: "eir Business has been spearheading the Spider Awards for decades and we continue to be astounded with the standard and level of entries and this year is no exception."

We are delighted to be awarding such innovative and interesting businesses both start-ups and more established businesses. Irish digital businesses are positioning themselves as global leaders in the digital space and the 2016 winners are testament to that."
