  • TinyLife, a Northern Irish charity that serves and supports the families of premature babies, has received a £5,000 Christmas gift from Danske Bank after the Bank’s staff, customers and members of the public voted for the local charity.

TinyLife provides a range of support services for families of premature and ill babies in Northern Ireland, including neonatal support, home support, free classes and parent support groups.  The charity also supports vital research to ensure that every pregnancy has the best chance of a healthy outcome and a healthy baby.

Valerie Cromie, Head of Fundraising and Communications at TinyLife said: “This donation from Danske Bank is a really welcome boost for TinyLife in the season of goodwill. The money will go towards our support services for premature and ill babies and their families in Northern Ireland.  We would like to thank Danske Bank staff for nominating TinyLife at the outset and for all those who voted for us in this process.”

Alison Falls, External Relations Manager at Danske Bank, added: "As a responsible local business it’s important to us to give back to the communities in which we live and work. We have a long history of raising money for local charities through our successful Charity Partner programme and Employees’ Charity Group. Last year we also introduced a £5,000 Christmas donation for one local charity. We’re delighted that it has proven to be so popular with the public and that we can hand over this year’s donation to TinyLife, a local charity working hard to help reduce the number of premature and sick babies and to support families who have experienced the birth of a premature, ill or disabled baby or babies.”
