  • The clock is ticking as the deadline approaches for entry to the Digital DNA Awards 2018 which will recognise the companies and individuals excelling in the world of technology in Northern Ireland, and beyond.

The hotly-anticipated awards will once again unearth the best innovation, talent and collaboration from technology companies of all sizes and promise to showcase their achievements to a wide audience.

Entries span 12 categories, from Digital Project of the Year, Developer of the Year, Best Small Tech Company & the highly-coveted Company of the Year, which this year will be awarded by ‘The Jury’ from the shortlist of all categories.

Entrants are urged to get their skates on as nominations close on Thursday 22nd of March in what is expected to be another competitive competition, topped off by the hugely popular awards evening in Belfast’s St Anne’s Cathedral.

Jeremy Biggerstaff, Managing Director of Flint Studios which won Company of the Year in 2017, said the honour had been transformational for the business.

“Being named the Digital Company of the Year at the 2017 Digital DNA Awards was hugely significant for Flint Studios. It was an honour to have our performance within the digital sector recognised on such a prestigious platform and it came at a very exciting time during a period of significant growth.

“We have recently increased our client portfolio by 50% and expanded our team of experts to over 30 skilled professionals, now supporting 200 high-calibre clients across the UK and Ireland.

“The Digital DNA accolade and the recognition that has come with it has demonstrated Flint Studios’ ability to excel in the digital world setting us apart from competitors and has raised our profile as an industry leader. Our skilled team of professionals takes a unique approach to every project by listening to, understanding and delivering results for our clients exceeding their expectations time and time again.”

Digital DNA’s Commercial Director Simon Bailie said entries have been flooding in for this year’s awards and urged more companies and individuals to step forward.

“There’s no doubt Northern Ireland is home to some of the best digital talent in the world and we can’t wait to find this year’s winners. Not only will entrants get the chance to benchmark themselves against their peers, they’ll also get unprecedented exposure to the tech and business community on these shores and far beyond.

“It is a testament to what Digital DNA has become over the past five years to be able to attract over 500 industry leaders to an event such as this to celebrate the best of what Northern Ireland has to offer. The third annual Digital DNA Awards will not only showcase some of the best digital exports to come out of Northern Ireland, but also the most creative and talented individuals and organisations that are at the pinnacle of innovation, driving the local economy.”

Last year, the Digital DNA Awards was the first major event of its kind in St Anne’s Cathedral with over 500 guests dining under the roof of the 119-year-old landmark. As nominations open, the competition will be fierce across twelve categories covering all things tech.

This year, the awards evening returns to St Anne’s Cathedral and will be hosted by presenter and local girl, Zoe Salmon and comedian Andrew Ryan.

The Awards evening will take place on Thursday 26th April in St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast. Tables for the event are already on sale and can be purchased directly via this link. A limited number of single seats are also available.
