DevOps Engineer (Scheduling Team)

    As a DevOps Engineer at ESO, you will work directly with a cross functional product team to make our products more reliable while increasing release cadence. You will develop automation solutions for deploying the infrastructure and services required to run our applications in Azure.

     

    What You will Be Doing – the day to day

    You can expect:

    • Work with your cross functional product team to implement and advise on the use of technologies, tools and processes and move them towards CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code
    • Advocate DevOps technologies, processes, and principles with your team and across the ESO

     

    Who You Are - some of the essential things required to be successful in the role; 

    • 4+ years’ experience in IT, with 2+ years’ cloud/DevOps experience.
    • Works well within a cross functional team.
    • Cloud platform experience, preferably, but not necessarily, with Azure.
    • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins or Octopus Deploy etc.
    • Experience developing infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
    • Experience developing automation tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShell.
    • Experience using orchestration tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.

     

    Who You Are – it is desirable if you have experience of any or all the following:

    • Planning and problem solving with platform and engineering teams.
    • APM/Infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools.
    • Windows and Linux environment experience.
