Security Training & Awareness Manager

  • How You’ll Support Our Mission

    ESO’s teams are growing, and our software is in demand globally by firefighters, paramedics, hospitals and governments. To meet this demand, we are building an industry-leading cyber security team in Belfast to protect our customers and data from a variety of fast moving and constantly evolving threats.

    We are looking for a Security Training & Awareness Manager to join our Belfast team. This role will work alongside our security, technology and business units to educate teams in effective risk management & security awareness to enable us to become the trusted partner of our customers.

    We want our colleagues throughout ESO to operate securely, but with a high degree of autonomy and minimal security constraints; to do this we want them to have the security information and understanding that they need to do their jobs in a way that protects our systems, customers and data.   You will be part of a high functioning, motivated and forward-thinking team and you have the chance to join a growing and passionate team, working on critical products, whilst being supported with training opportunities and mentoring.

    What You’ll Be Doing – the day to day

    • Ensuring that our security awareness program meets all industry regulations (E.g. HIPAA, GDPR), standards, and compliance requirements.
    • Identifying the scope of who needs to be trained; communicating our security policies and requirements so that people know, understand and can follow them. 
    • Identifying the roles which require additional or more specialised training and ensure those roles receive it. 
    • Working with our security teams to identify and manage the top human risks and the behaviours we need to change.
    • Building a positive program that engages our workforce, focusing on changing behaviours whether in office, remote or travelling. 
    • Building a metrics framework that can effectively measure and communicate the impact of the program. 
    • Structuring and maintaining this program to be long term, so ultimately, we are not changing just behaviours but crafting a secure culture. 
    • Work collaboratively cross-team, to impart your expertise across the organisation.
    • Be in the detail, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our technology teams.

     

    Who You Are - some of the essential things required to be successful in the role

    • At least 2 years’ experience in training, eLearning, security or technology
    • Your experience should include;
      • Delivering training sessions to a variety of groups, capabilities and technical ability
      • Creating, tracking, managing training programs and projects
      • Building metrics frameworks to demonstrate behaviour change
    • You should also:
      • Have a high-level knowledge of relevant technology and security components
      • Be able to explain social engineer techniques and high level attack vectors
      • Be comfortable presenting and interacting with large groups of people, presenting messages in a simple, clear and concise manner through different channels (social media, video, webcasts, printed materials, hosted events).
      • Have a passion for what you do and understanding how your work impacts ESO’s success
      • Be self-motivated to get answers and understand root causes

     

    Who You Are – it’s desirable if you have any of the following

    • Experience in a software business or working in healthcare
