Talent Partner - Fixed Term Contract - 9 month P/T (3 days per week or 22.5 hours)

  • The Role

    We're on the look out for a part- time Talent Partner on a minimum of a 9 month fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave in our brood.  If you are a talent specialist, an in-house recruitment superstar or someone with previous technology experience that might be looking for a change in direction then keep reading! 

    For those that haven't already heard at Aflac we help people cover medical expenses beyond their standard health insurance, and when they come to us they really need us. So in Belfast, our team are building great technology to support these customers in their time of need.

    This is a Part Time position - you can work 3 full days or 22.5 hours per week over a different working pattern.

    The Team

    Aflac Northern Ireland have grown significanty since our launch in October 2019. We are looking to continue to build out our highly talented team to include a dedicated talent specialist who understands the importance of an amazing candidate experience throughout the process. Working across both our digital services and global security hiring teams, you will be responsible for finding and attracting technology talent across various roles.


    What You'll Be Doing

    We will give you lots of support in getting up to speed with the technologies our teams use, so you'll understand the types of talent we want to attract. You'll be working to build talent pools for future hiring needs as well as actively sourcing against open roles. Using various data mining tools and techniques as well as getting involved in networking events, grad fairs, tech meet ups - you should be comfortable establishing rapport and building relationships with candidates in a highly competitive market. You'll have the opportunity to shape how things are done as we adopt a "let’s try it" approach!

    • Working closely with our Head of Talent and Culture to deliver on our talent acquisition strategy
    • Getting to know our talented tech teams in order to understand hiring requirements and future growth plans
    • Conducting talent attraction activities using a combination of methods including networking, social media, online job sites & recruitment events
    • The candidate experience is paramount to building our reputation, so you’ll need to be comfortable dealing with candidates in person, over the phone and via email
    • Interview scheduling, obtaining and providing detailed feedback both from & to candidates
    • Working with 3rd party suppliers
    • Working with our HR partner to ensure all onboarding documentation has been prepared and sent, as well as scheduling onboarding sessions to welcome new team members
    • Monitoring the progress and success of new employees by acting as a key point of support

    What You Need to Have

    Essential

    • At least 3 years experience working within a fast-paced recruitment environment (either in-house, RPO or Agency)
    • An effective and influential communicator
    • Your organisation skills showing how can manage conflicting priorities, work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills with an ability to quickly establish credibility with people
    • An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional & discreet manner
    • A proven ability to use various sourcing techniques to attract passive candidates 
    • A sense of fun! We do serious work but don’t take ourselves too seriously

    Desirable

    • 3rd level qualification
    • Previous tech recruitment experience
