    We are delighted to be offering an exciting opportunity to join an existing experienced team as an Operations Data Engineer in the CTS Data Platform area. Claims data is critical for Allstate’s downstream applications and this role is part of a team of Operations Data Engineers accountable for ensuring data reliability, data efficiency, data quality and data timeliness ensuring that data can be consumed by Accounting, Finance, and other downstream stakeholders.

     

    • Improving data governance and quality increasing the reliability of our data
    • Supporting projects as the Data Platforms SME for Downstream Data Quality to provide new or enhanced data to our partners
    • Ensuring accuracy of downstream data between CTS products
    • Developing solutions and iterating quickly to ensure continuous improvement
    • Identifies opportunities for improvement and presents recommendations to management 
    • Assist and help manage production support activities such as incident management, problem management & expediting them to releases.
    • Collaborate with Data SME’s, upstream and downstream, data stakeholders, users, and other external team members to ensure fast and efficient problem solving
    • Educating and upskilling junior Operations Data Engineers
    • Enthusiastic about learning new Data based technologies and programming languages to modernize the Data Platforms area where appropriate

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • At minimum 3 years’ proven data management experience

     

    The successful candidate must also demonstrate a high competency in:

     

    • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
    • Demonstrates curiosity and recognizes opportunities to improve processes
    • Advanced oral and written communication skills
    • Be able to coach others and demonstrate a passion for learning and learning agility

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Knowledge and or experience with Mainframe and Next Gen applications is preferable
