    The Role

    Proofpoint is seeking a Product Support Engineer for our Enterprise level products. The successful candidate will be highly experienced in providing excellent customer service and problem escalation/resolution. The role is ideal for those who possess an understanding of email administration and security or DNS, however we will consider other candidates who can demonstrate working in technical environment. Proofpoint offers free on-site parking, highly competitive salary and benefits package.

    Your day-to-day

    • Troubleshoot, resolve and document system and customer problems during the hours of 9am to 6pm Monday - Friday

    • Provide troubleshooting and support of complex technical issues via phone, web based tools and email

    • Advise customers regarding the product's proper use and address specific system issues

    • Training customers and partners on product best practices and features

    • Escalating product defects and issues, driving them towards resolution while managing the customer expectations and communications

    • If needed, candidate will assist customers during installations and configurations

    • A hybrid working model is available with this role 

    What you bring to the team

    • Experience in a technical support/helpdesk environment (experience/knowledge with Email systems and Networking)

    • Strong technical and analytical skills

    • Experience in problem analysis and resolution of software problems

    • Proven ability to function in a self-directed environment

    • Must excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are required for success

    • Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces change

    • Ability to handle clients professionally during all interfaces

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Quickly develops as subject matter expert in areas of Proofpoint technologies

    • Experience with Linux is beneficial
