Media Support Technician

    The goal of Information Services is to provide the highest quality information services and resources in support of the education and research activities of the students and staff of the University.

    To work as part of a team providing digital media solutions for University staff and students with significant input into the support and utilisation of solutions for education.

    The role allows for a lot of diversity in tasks, working with leading edge systems and supporting the wider Directorate. This is one of the biggest teams within Information Services and the team are very passionate about the services they provide

    The successful candidate must have:

    • OND/ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in a subject related to electronics or computing.
    • At least three years’ relevant work experience in a professional media environment.
    • Demonstrable experience of maintaining and supporting media solutions.
    • Experience of providing user based computer support.
    • In-depth knowledge of and experience of using media equipment, in particular presentation systems.
    • Good working knowledge of digital conference systems.
    • In depth knowledge of PC computers and laptops and the Windows operating system.
    • Experience of preparing media for the web.

    Salary scale: £23,557 - £27,285 per annum (potential to progress to £28,936 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution)
