Our Operate business helps organisations transform and run complex operational processes that often create challenges and hinder their progress. Harnessing the power of tech and data to drive performance, Operate brings together innovative minds with a distinctive mix of subject matter knowledge and operational skills to deliver results that make the difference. We work with some of the most recognisable organisations worldwide in delivering large scale operational programmes and managed solutions.  Underpinning all of this is our commitment to ensuring our people are equipped with tomorrow's skills to drive success for our clients today.

We’re creating a team of engineers and technologists who’ll work within a bigger innovation ecosystem, including government, University academia and business, to help our clients take giant leaps, rather than incremental steps.

Our Advanced Research and Engineering Centre, based in Belfast, delivers pivotal breakthroughs to uncover the next generation of operational technology. As part of a team of innovative thinkers, you’ll work together to design solutions that will define the next decade and beyond.

    • Leading on new greenfield projects using the latest technologies in an exciting period of change and growth.

    • Collaborating with the Business, Architects, Business Analysts and the software development teams to identify product opportunities and own their development roadmap.

    • Working with the business and technical stakeholders to develop ambitious visions, strategic and tactical plans.

    • Prioritising spending based on value, return on investment and strategic intent.

    • Driving the success of the product working alongside a cross-functional team that will be building and improving it.

    • Continuously analysing, learning and measuring any internal/external factors that may have an impact on your product, including seeking opportunities.

    • Being responsible for the full lifecycle of the product and its features from inception through to retirement.

    • Collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative product data and metrics to understand product performance.

    • Working with internal stakeholders in the firm, you’ll be responsible for full stakeholder analysis and management.

    • Managing the product backlog, prioritising functionality, setting the product roadmap, defining requirements to engineering teams and working closely with the testing team to ensure high quality.

    • Being responsible for benefits realisation in order to understand whether the expected value was achieved.

    • Supporting coaching and mentoring less experienced Product Managers.

    Skills and experience

    • Experience in Software Product Management or Business Analysis, utilising best practice tools and techniques.

    • Excellent stakeholder analysis and stakeholder management skills.

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

    • Demonstrates strategic capability - sees big picture and underlying drivers.

    • Proven experience in Agile methodologies.

    • Clear leadership qualities, working proactively with others towards a goal with the ability to navigate both internal and external hurdles through change and risk.
