    Your role in the team

     

    We are pleased to announce a new role for a Software Developer within Data and Intelligent Systems (D&IS).

     

    This position will be part of a global State Privacy team. This will involve support and development for two products – the OneTrust Consumer Portal and Consumer Data Response Orchestration (CDRO).

     

    These products were developed 2019 to meet legal and regulatory compliance requirements around personal information (PI) deletion, consumer requests, privacy notices, and 3rd party relationships.

     

    Going forward, the focus is to increase consumer-centricity, simplification, automation, centralization and scalability while continuing to meet our regulatory and legal requirements. 

     

    • Develop a deep understanding of the Java components used in the product
    • Design, test and develop solutions to meet the strategic needs of the program
    • Provide support and subject matter expertise on production issues related to the application
    • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and other parts of dynamic Agile development
    • Takes ownership and accepts responsibility for decisions which impacts own work area
    • Provides guidance to others within team on technical solutions
    • Provide support in resolving data and technology issues
    • Work effectively with Product Owner and team members

     

    The successful candidate will have:

     

    • Proven track record of delivering high quality solutions
    • Understanding of the Agile framework and Product Mindset  
    • Desire to learn new tools / technologies and implement continuous improvement
    • Innovative approach to projects, with strong desire to improve through efficiency and automation
    • Flexible attitude to work tasks, displaying an ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Ability to complete transition of new technical skills and application knowledge
    • Have strong communication skills and possess the ability to work independently when required but also as part of a team

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hands-on technical role within the Software Development Lifecyle
    • 1+ year’s experience with Java
    • 1+ year’s experience with React

     

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Experience in privacy, data governance, risk management or related fields
    • Experience of working in an Agile environment
    • Experience of Java Rest Services or Java Scheduler
    • Experience of PCF or AWS
    • Knowledge of JSON, HTML, Dremio
    • Understanding of relational databases and database structures preferably SQL Server
    • Good understanding of consumer data
    • Good collaboration skills across multiple levels and function
    • Good communication skills especially on technical topics
