Software Engineer – Workgrid Software

It was born from an internal initiative to transform the digital experience for Liberty Mutual’s 50,000 employees. This internal innovation inspired Liberty to create a new business divergent from its core insurance business that delivers employee-centric software solutions to other companies.
Workforces are overloaded with information, spending hours checking and managing their work, finding information, and taking action on tasks. This is causing significant communication and productivity issues in the workplace.

In this role, you will:
- Will have the opportunity to work on our global platform built on AWS which enables:
- Building backend APIs using Node.js
- Frontend web applications using React.js
- Chatbots
- Take a customer-centric approach to deliver real value and solve complex business problems working as part of an agile team.
- Communicate and collaborate with your team and customers to have exposure and participation in the entire software development lifecycle.
- Deliver high quality, tested and secure code following the processes and standards within the team.
- Continuously develop your skills and knowledge.
- Use a range of architectures, tools and frameworks, and have the opportunity to experiment and learn new technologies.
- Identify areas for improvement across all aspects of the product and suggest and implement new ideas and innovations to make these improvements.
- Actively seek opportunities to collaborate with and learn from Workgrid Engineers across our organization through internal networks, events and communities of practice.
Essential Criteria
- A third level qualification in an Information Technology or Computer Science related field.
- 1+ years experience with Node.js and/or React.js / Angular.js / Vue.js.
- A proven ability to deliver high quality JavaScript code.
