    Your role in the team

     

    Recently Allstate has diversified into Finance and Accountancy with a selection of exciting new roles, and we are seeking the best people with the freshest ideas to join our new team.

    • Completes daily and monthly balancing processes to assure financial data is complete and accurate, works with IT and other areas to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Process write-off, void, and reversal requests to customer and service provider accounts.
    • Prepares close entries, analysis and reporting for administered business, including trending reports
    • Executes account line item displays/account queries, and runs reports
    • Prepares both basic and complex account reconciliations and analysis as assigned
    • Prepares schedules and exhibits used for GAAP and Statutory reporting and analysis
    • Complete requests for external auditor during interim testing and year end inquiries
    • Adheres to checklist of monthly/quarterly accounting close related deliverables

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK
    • A degree classification in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, or similar discipline, OR
    • A degree in a non-finance related discipline but supported with + 1 years accounting experience, OR
    • + 2 years accounting experience
    • Currently obtaining chartered accountancy qualifications
    • Possesses a strong working knowledge of Excel; pivot tables, V-look ups and macros; Microsoft Access basic knowledge a plus
    • Applicants must be willing and eligible to travel to the USA

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    •  Possesses good written/oral communication skills and well organized
    • Possesses an inquisitive nature and demonstrates the ability to problem solve; not afraid to dig into the details and ask questions; ability to respond to ad hoc requests related to assigned tasks
    • Collaborative and prefers a team environment
    • SAP knowledge of FI-CO module
