    Your role in the team

    The Senior Manager acts a solution engineer responsible for leading, managing, and delivering, consumer privacy products in the Data & Intelligent Systems Privacy organization. Attention is on the solutions and capabilities for consumer privacy requests, privacy data fulfillment, and obsolete data disposal, as the centralized solutions for the Allstate Family of Companies.

     

    Further, the Senior Manager will contribute to thought leadership, technical design, and enablement of solutions in Data Management, driving synergy across teams, and supporting roadmaps. You will influence the vision for the strategic products across Data Management and Privacy to maximize business and consumer value.

     

    You are responsible for working closely with key stakeholders and partners, and ensuring the successful definition and execution of internal, go-to market, and communication strategies.

     

    • Provides business leadership and strong technical acumen to product teams.  Will work closely with a range of business stakeholders across the Allstate Family of Companies for the Privacy central solutions, as well as finance, security, audit, and others as applicable.
    • Translates business vision into technology solutions, with attention on state privacy compliance, security, Privacy, and the Enterprise Data Acceleration Program.
    • Works closely with product teams to bring technical guidance and ensure capabilities are designed and implemented per standards and aligned with the Target State for Data and Decisions (TSDD).  Understands the technical details, integration points, and functions of products, to drive direction and make improvements.
    • Defines and manages priorities across the product teams to drive and inform the overall product strategy, planned outcomes, and success.  Leads communication and key messages around the vision and capabilities of products.
    • Active partner and liaison diving collaboration, decision-making, and alignment across stakeholders, to ensure a stable, flexible, and robust set of solutions and roadmap; actively manages business partner relationships, and success measures, including KPIs and OKRs.
    • Actively monitors industry trends and benchmarks other companies/products to support Privacy’s vision. Makes suggestions or recommendations for business use.
    • Acts as vendor point of contact, SME, and actively manages vendor relationships.  Communicates issues, drives roadmap, and makes suggestion to vendor for enhancements.
    • Actively manages the budget and works closely with ATSV Finance and organization leaders to support detail budget management and sustained cost containment.
    • Contributes as a thought leader and change agent, collaborating across D&IS and ATSV, fostering innovation and maturing the organization and practices.
    • Provides functional resource management, ensures accountability, and fosters a common vision.   Provides clear direction and priorities and removes barriers to support success of business outcomes

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK
    • 5+ years management experience, including accountability for all aspects of leading an organization including; people management & development across multiple global organizations, finance/budgetary management, client/partner relationships, strategy planning and implementation, work processes and delivery of work products
    • Strong technical leadership abilities which should include a minimum of 2 years managing several first line managers.
    • Experience with Web, Database, and Integration Technologies
    • Knowledge of Code Quality and Security – SonarQube, Agent Smith, Compliance Buddy
    • Experience with PCF development and practices
    • Knowledge of the following Tech Stack: Java, SpringBoot, React, SQLServer
    • Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to stakeholders to drive decision making and buy-in
    • Ability to develop a strategy, roadmap, and articulate to stakeholders for agreement 
    • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

    • Undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, or related business degree, MBA/MIS/MS desired
    • Depth of internal and industry knowledge associated with Privacy Standards, and solutions in the marketplace for PI discovery and data management
    • CI/CD – Enterprise Jenkins with scripted pipelines
    • Experience in software development lifecycle and agile methodologies to develop/deploy changes to UAT/Production environments.
