    Job Description

    You are expected to proactively engage with customers directly, work in tandem with the wider sales team and collaborate with other practices within Version 1. To uncover, develop and close opportunities for Microsoft licensing and Software Asset Management “SAM” services. Having a background in selling Microsoft technology and or licensing solutions is a preferred requirement with specific experience selling ITAM services an added advantage. This role requires strong communications skills and the ability to solution sell by engaging with stakeholders across a range of functions including information technology, finance and procurement. It is also expected that you will liaise with marketing to execute campaigns to drive new opportunities for Microsoft license advisory services and Cloud licensing.  


    What you will do

    • Work as a part of  a virtual team to achieve and surpass sales targets and net profit quotas
    • Create robust working partnerships within the wider Version 1 business to identify and nurture opportunities.
    • Engage directly with prospects to verify their needs.
    • Recommend solutions to optimise licensing costs, manage risks and address business goals.
    • Co-ordinate resources to provide technical pre-sales for suitably qualified opportunities
    • Maximise recurring revenue opportunities by ensuring service received by customers is at a high level.
    • Follow a defined sales process to enable forecast accuracy and sales efficiency.
    • Engage with Cloud vendor partner programs to enable 3rd party funding opportunities 
    • Track industry trends with particular focus on Microsoft technology and licensing updates
    • Evangelise Version 1 SAM service offerings by providing timely insights directly to customer and via social media.
    • Provide input on service offerings based on the completive landscape, market trends and customer feedback 

    Role Requirements:

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Technology related sales experience (5 plus years)
    • Solution selling track record with a knowledge of Microsoft software licensing and ITAM preferably.
    • Can quickly build trusting relationships with C-level executives.
    • Highly motivated  with strong drive for results with a proven track record of consistently exceeding sales objectives and quotas.
    • Passion for technology and technology trends.
    • Robust skills in presenting, communicating, organising, and time management
    • Grounded problem solving and consultative abilities and skills
    • Higher education preferred?
    • Microsoft accreditations / certifications welcome.
