    Your role in the team

    This position will use business and technical acumen to support the development of data and analytical processes, solutions, and products in alignment with a business or data platform focused area.

    You will be responsible for clear communication among stakeholders and ensuring projects/products are fulfilling all agreed upon criteria when delivered.

    Additionally, you will be exposed to the ins and outs of developing data strategies and products for predictive analytic applications, fundamental skills of big data, data science and statistical learning methods, and agile delivery methodologies.

    The Team

    The Data, Discovery and Decision Science (D3) department leverages data & analytics to help the enterprise make data driven decisions that improve business processes, create a great customer experience, and deliver on our corporate priorities.

    D3 is responsible for supporting other internal business units across the Allstate Family of Companies with a broad portfolio of data, research, and analytical projects and products. With a fast-growing team of highly skilled professionals, D3 provides a unique learning environment through formal training curriculum, mentoring, coaching, challenging hands-on assignments, and a collaborative culture as we develop the analytical experts and leaders of tomorrow.

    • Strategy, Business, & Process Consulting
    • Experimentation, Research & Innovation
    • Relationship Management & Communication
    • Program Coordination
    • Agile Program Execution
    • Technical Support of Analytics Development Life Cycle
    • Data Visualization & Storytelling
    • Implementation & User Adoption

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK
    • Bachelor’s in a field such as Statistics/Mathematics, Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering
    • 2 years of related project management or analytics consulting or equivalent experience
    • Experience communicating analytical or technical concepts clearly to a variety of audiences

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

     

    • Experience using various project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Kanban, etc.
    • Experience in Agile story/feature backlog (e.g. JIRA, VersionOne)
    • Relevant project management certification i.e. PRINCE, PMP
    • Experience with analytical tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Tableau
