  Your role in the team

  As a Senior Product Manager in Identity and Access Management (IAM) you will lead and shape an existing team of product owners in the evolution of Allstate’s IAM services.  The successful applicant will drive the digital transformation of identity services across Allstate, a key focus will be to extend our current scope from enterprise to consumer identity and access management.  In helping to drive our transformation, the product manager will work closely with strategy and architecture teams to assist in defining a family of IAM API, with a view to improving the timeliness and ease of integration for core identity services.

  First and foremost, we are seeking a candidate with significant product management experience in a technically challenging area.  The candidate should have an interest in broadening their knowledge in a critical security domain.

   

  Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

  • Manage direct reports of Product Owners, Business Analysts, Release Managers, and Testers working on the Identity Management Product 
  • Work closely with Identity Management Engineering and Operations teams  
  • Effective communication of new features to management, teams, and stakeholders. This includes decisioning of when/what story to put in the sprint backlog and demos of features before they go into production 
  • Work with release management and change approvers to make sure changes tickets are complete and ready for implementation  
  • Work with stakeholders across the company to decide priorities for the roadmap 
  • Work with Product Owners on assessing roadmaps.  Coach them on Scrum Process
  • Extend product owner teams to support development of IAM API and Consumer Identity and Access Management 
  • Lead testing team on automation of test-case for the Identity Management Production. Design roadmap and framework for testing automation 

   

  So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

  • 5 or more years’ Product Management experience in complex technical delivery area
  • 2 years’ people management experience
  • 1+ years’ experience working in a scrum team
  • Understanding of scrum product teams' structure 
  • Experience with agile transformation (being able to work in waterfall and scrum for multiple projects) 
  • Understanding of Component vs Feature teams 
  • Adaptive to change and the ability to upskill into a technical area involving details of security features
  • Ability to communicate roadmap to all layers of management 
  • Ability to drive better user experience for end users
  • All candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK

   

  We also have some desirable criteria

  • Previous experience in a product manager/owner role related to security
  • Understanding of the 5 stages of team development.  Show examples of how you brought a team through each stage (Forming – Storming – norming – performing – adjourning)  
  • Previous experience working on IdM tools like SailPoint 
  • Knowledge of the IAM space (IdM, Certification, PAM, RBAC, SSO, CIAM, etc...)
  • Understanding of the 5 stages of team development.  Show examples of how you brought a team through each stage (Forming – Storming – norming – performing – adjourning)
