    Your role in the team

     

    Are you enthusiastic about quality and want to make an impact in both technology and business?  Are you skilled in test automation?  As a Test Engineer you will provide test execution on software development projects, focusing on the creation/ execution of functional and automated test scripts.

     

    We are currently seeking Test Engineer Consultants to join the Consumer Technology business area. Within Consumer Technology you will get the opportunity to work in a fast-paced agile environment supporting customer facing, business-critical applications using Continuous Testing best practices across web and mobile products.

     

     

    Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

     

    • Designing, coding and documenting automated test cases within the defined framework
    • Decompose user stories to be able to write effective automated and manual test scripts
    • Provide input into test strategies and develop test strategies for complex projects
    • Be a Quality advocate within their team
    • Provide input into test environment requirements for development projects
    • Understand issues related to the test infrastructure and escalate within team
    • Document, analyze and communicate bugs/issues accurately and clearly
    • Interaction with the wider scrum team
    • Participate in Scrum Daily Stand-ups, Sprints and iterative development activities – prepared to take on any role within an Agile team
    • Participate across all Agile Ceremonies ensuring focus on quality, customer experience & automated test practices. 
    • Ability to work in a very fast paced development organization

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • Must be a UK/RoI/EU citizen or possess a current UK visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment.  EU candidates must also demonstrate they are eligible to take up UK employment post-Brexit.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hands-on technical role within the Software Development Lifecyle
    • 2+ years practical experience with Selenium
    • Experience of XML and / or Java, C# or similar object-oriented programming language
    • 2+ years’ experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks
    • 2+ years’ experience in the Agile methodology
    • Experience across browser or mobile platform automated test solutions
    • Working knowledge in Agile tools such as Version One / JIRA  
    • Knowledge in version control systems such as Git or equivalent
    • CI/CD experience with a working knowledge of Jenkins or equivalent
    • Experience in test execution using cloud-based solutions e.g. Perfecto, Sauce Labs, etc 
    • Experience constructing & executing automated test cases

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Understanding of Web Service Testing Tools (e.g. CA LISA, SoapUI, other WS tools)
    • Experience in Automation through Python
