Senior Delivery Lead

    Job Description

     

    Reporting to the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) Senior Manager, this is a key Leadership position within the Allstate SACM area, taking accountability for, and leading, the Software Asset Management team and strategy. 

    It is a fantastic opportunity to play a lead role in a global team enabling strategic solutions for many of Allstate’s most critical stakeholders. The deliverables of the team have visibility to the top of the organization and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make an impact that is Enterprise wide.

     

    The ideal person will be able to demonstrate the following competencies: 

     

    • A fundamental knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM) demonstrated by a strong understanding of SAM’s role and value in the company and strong experience in evolving people, process and technology aspects
    • A solid understanding of delivery leadership demonstrated by the understanding of the difference in leadership styles as individuals and situations require, the demonstration of team building techniques and leadership
    • A fundamental knowledge of strategic thinking demonstrated by the ability to formulate and connect a vision to plans and delivery, anticipate basic resource needs, establish objectives, set priorities, identify resource requirements, define dependencies and schedule activities
    • A fundamental understanding of Thriving in Change as demonstrated by the ability to adapt well to changes in work assignments, policies, procedures and reorganizations, accept changes with a minimal loss in productivity

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

     

    • Ensure success of core Software Asset Management responsibilities and connect value to stakeholders
    • Develop overall Allstate Software Asset Management capability (people, process, technology and data) in line with industry standards, best practice and strategic Allstate objectives.
    • Determine, prioritize, drive and successfully deliver the Software Asset Management team’s key strategic objectives.
    • Ownership of Software Asset Management technology, systems, operational processes and governance.
    • Engage, guide and influence key stakeholders and other partners to achieve results.
    • Ensure appropriate alignment to other ITSM processes.
    • Global people manager activities, such as employee hiring, development, capacity management, performance management, recognition and succession planning.
    • Drive agile approach, delivering iterative value and pro-actively removing obstacles to progress
    • Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

     

     

    Essential criteria – Candidates should clearly state on their application form how they meet each of the essential criteria as these will be assessed during shortlisting and only these deemed to meet all of the below criteria will move forward to the next stage. 

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Software Asset Management; and
    • Minimum of 2 years’ previous Delivery Lead/Management experience to include, formulating and leading strategy, leading multiple projects, leading in a global environment, team development, managing people, strategic problem solving, metrics and reporting, stakeholder engagement and management.
    • Must be a UK/RoI/EU citizen or possess a current UK visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment.  EU candidates must also demonstrate they are eligible to take up UK employment post-Brexit. 

     

    Desirable Criteria – These criteria may be used where we have a high number of applicants

    • Experience of Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite
    • experience working in an agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) team or environment
    • 3 years of business experience related to ITSM processes
    • ITIL qualified
    • Data Analytics experience
    • Six Sigma Green belt
