Business Analyst / Project Manager

  • Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Business Analyst / Project Manager to join us in our Software development team. In this role, you will work closely with our Development, Product and QA teams as well as our clients within the Broker and Insurance market to deliver Projects to a high quality standard.  Applied Systems provide a great working environment and atmosphere to allow for an enjoyable transition and induction to a new Company and role.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Working across the full project lifecycle from pre-project feasibility stage to project close whilst acquiring role of both Business Analyst and Project Manager – involvement in Requirments gathering and Specification write-up within Design Phase of large scale Projects, whilst also assuming the role of Project Manager in smaller scale Projects.
    • A willingness to learn and grow within the team, a passion and enthusiasm for your responsibilities and desire to be a team player and working to get Projects across the line.
    • Participates in all relevant Project meetings, including daily meetings, workshops, project reviews and internal Projecet update meetings.
    • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to extract and analyse information needs and deliver any appropriate documentation to support. Comfortable with working amongst all teams – Development, Product, Support, Sales, QA – to do so.
    • You will have the confidence to build strong relationships at all levels, and the ability to influence and challenge as required.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
    • 2+ years of professional work experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager.
    • Professional experience or training in gathering requirements, creating documentation and development plans.
    • Provide clear, concise, logical documentation of flows, solutions designs and analysis output.
    • MS Project/Office experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
    • Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically.
    • Ability to communicate at all business levels.
    • Passionate individual with a strong work ethic, an innovative Team player willing to work with others to accomplish team goals and Project deadlines.
    • Excellent interpersonal, conflict management and negotiation skills and an ability to navigate a complex, cross-functional environment.
    • Travel required up to 25%
