    Role

    You will communicate regularly with key stakeholders, prioritising projects and proactively assessing the impact of changes to departments across the business. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and maximise the potential of business initiative opportunities. You will attend meetings for key IT projects, you will provide business context to technical challenges as well as researching and suggesting better processes, tools and solutions. You will contribute to the training of staff especially around understanding and creating better requirements as well as creating meaningful and appropriate documentation.

    Key Skills and Experience

    • Degree educated (2:1 or higher), ideally in ICT or relevant field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT
    • Strong Business Analyst experience in an insurance/financial/retail environment gained within a product focused development environment
    • Experience of determining and specifying user requirements for development projects to a very high standard
    • Experience of continuous process improvement
    • Previous experience working with business teams and developers, both in-house and offshore to create quality software and product
    • Significant recent experience of involvement in either Web application development projects OR significant Web application deployment projects
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and their real-life implementation
    • Experience of working in and with teams across the Software development life cycle e.g. Dev, QA, UAT etc
    • Proven experience of methodology use, process mapping and tools within a B.A. role
    • Proven ability to understand and implement industry best practices and technology trends
    • Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach
    • Experience of presentation of Business Cases and their Return On Investment logic to key stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Good time management skills
    • The ability to motivate others and lead change
    • The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within project timeframes
    • A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change
    • A strong interest in business and business development
