    Job Description

    Reporting to Software Asset and Configuration Management Delivery leads, this position is part the Global SACM team. The Data Consultant will be required to operate in a key data position, effectively balancing the demands of day to day operations with strategic planning alongside leadership.

    Software Asset & Configuration Management tools such as Flexera and ServiceNow generate and store significant quantities of data. The SACM Data Consultant will provide analytic support to create actionable insights that improve quality of data and drive the strategic direction of Software Asset Management and Config Processes, including through KPI backed projects.

    It is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a global team enabling strategic solutions for Artificial Intelligence Operations, Event Management and Total Cost of Ownership. The deliverables of the team have visibility to the top of the organization and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make an impact that is Enterprise wide.

    Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to): 

    • Day to day analysis of multiple complex data sets using different analytical methods to identify gaps in data or quality issues with the data.
    • Use data analysis from multiple data sources to develop and measure KPIs that help us understand the impact of our improvements.
    • Develop insights from analyses to tell a story out of the data (presentations, training materials, etc).
    • Use data insights to identify opportunities to improve data quality through process, policy, training or technical changes to systems.
    • Contribute to the organization’s analytic capabilities by partnering with other analytic and reporting groups across Allstate to share insights, approaches and learnings.
    • Challenge accepted ways of operating to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Promote idea generation by analyzing and reporting data in a proactive manner that influences data driven decisions.

    Essential Criteria

    • Must be an EU citizen or possess a current UK Tier 1 Visa or Tier 2 visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment. EU candidates must also demonstrate they are eligible to take up UK employment post-Brexit.
    • Minimum of 7 years IT industry experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of SQL or similar database query language skills
    • Minimum of 2 years ITIL and Service Management process experience
    • Minimum of 1 years’ experience of Windows and Linux Server Operating systems
       

    Desirable Criteria

    • Advanced Excel skills – e.g. Macros, Charting, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX & MATCH.
    • Creative problem solver, curious and inquisitive – can progress tasks with limited direction.
    • Aptitude to think strategically, conceptually, analytically and creatively.
    • Ability to create compelling visualizations to support effective communication with stakeholders and senior leadership which drive alignment and decision making.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of ServiceNow table structures.
    • Knowledge of discovery tools such as SCCM, Flexera and JAMF.
    • Strong interpersonal skills; effectively influence others to gain alignment on project decisions.
    • Ability to establish, manage and leverage relationships with internal and external partners.
    • Strong time management skills including ability to organize multiple projects and competing priorities.
    • Operate independently and effectively in a team-based environment.
