WPR now has multiple UI Engineer roles available with its client, BDNA, for a new UI team based in its Belfast city centre office.
These are excellent roles, suited to experienced UI Engineers who are eager to get involved in a proper “Greenfield” project, as the software engineering team in Belfast has been tasked with building out a new platform for a number of BDNA's market-leading big data products.
Your Responsibilities:As part of the new team, you will initially be joined by a Senior/Principal level UI Engineer, along with one other UI team member in Belfast. The company already has a UX Designer presence in the US, whose initial designs, wireframes etc. will be used by you and your colleagues to translate the technical data layer into UI representation that will work for their customers. You will also work closely with the Product Owner, and wider engineering team, to identify and prototype new product features and enhancements.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Contribute to technical roadmap for UI and UX
- Propose new ideas to improve product appearance and response
- Use your design skills to create secure UI applications
- Deliver code in line with their Continuous Development/Integration approach
- Adapt to new technologies and gain an understanding of technologies used in their data layer to translate this into suitable UI representations
Your Experience: To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following criteria:
- BSc Computer Science or related subject
- Minimum 2 years’ UI development experience
- Experience with at least one JavaScript framework
- Knowledge of ECMAScript 2016, HTML, CSS and build tools
- Proven experience in the delivery of scalable SaaS applications
- Experience of TDD and Unit Testing
- Previous experience of secure and responsive web applications
- An understanding of containerisation and micro-services architecture
Rewards:Depending on experience and interview performance, the salary range for these roles is between £30,000- £45,000, with an annual bonus and excellent benefits package.
