    Job Description

    We are pleased to announce a new opportunity within our Encompass Product Operations team, leading the development of analytics and projects in support of business goals. Responsibilities include interfacing with several internal customers in areas such as State Management, Line Management, Sales, Technology, and other teams within Encompass

    This experienced manager will recommend, coordinate, and complete analyses and projects intended to drive business results and lead a team doing the same.  Projects include, but are not limited to:  State and Countrywide analytics supporting multiple areas, market basket analysis, measurement of initiatives, and influencing others’ analysis to advance their analytics.

    Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

    • Understand and contribute to the achievement of short and long-term strategies to achieve market share growth and profitability targets on a countrywide basis leveraging quantitative and qualitative data
    • Understands the business of Insurance in order to contribute analytics support to new initiatives and development of data and analytics best practices
    • Perform statistical analysis using available data to inform underwriting, deployment, pricing, and marketing strategies
    • Conduct statistical analysis and present fact-based data clearly to a wide audience to ensure appropriate development, and execution of strategy
    • Support coordinated efforts across the organization to facilitate the implementation of initiatives
    • Measure and communicate results; use this information to make recommendations to improve initiatives
    • In-depth knowledge of insurance industry and trends
    • Understands the business of Insurance in order to improve outreach to other Allstate brands
    • Leads and develops a team creating analysis to support and influence internal customers’ analytics needs
    • Coach and mentor associates to ensure appropriate skill and personal development


    Essential Criteria

    • Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative field such as mathematics, physics or computer science with at least 5+ of experience in a related field
    • Insurance and/or pricing knowledge and experience in P&C industry
    • Proficiency with SQL
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
    • Must be an EU citizen or possess a current UK Tier 1 Visa or Tier 2 visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment


    Desirable Criteria

    • Experience of working within a global team
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups and all organizational levels
    • High-level organizational and project management skills in order to handle multiple concurrent assignments in a timely manner and to monitor processes throughout a team or department
    • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
    • Works effectively in a team environment
    • Strong attention to detail; can analyze data and review analysis from others and identify and resolve data issues of moderate complexity


    Travel Requirements

    • Possible travel for 1-2 weeks to Chicago
