Risk & Compliance - Senior Consultant

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Compliance Senior Consultant to join our Allstate Brand Operations business area. This role will be Derry/Londonderry based.

    Job Description

    Support the administration of the Risk and Compliance program. Perform specialized technical activities related to compliance and risk processes.  Provide technical guidance, recommendation and implementation of process improvements.

    Key responsibilities

    • Administer Risk and Compliance program and ensure that program elements are executed as defined.
    • Provide timely and efficient project implementation related to compliance.  Manages compliance issues/projects, quality/timely implementation.
    • Performs specialized compliance reviews/audits. Interprets, and analyzes results from assigned complex projects.  Recommends procedural changes.  Assist/represent management in decision making process.
    • Reviews results and documentation for adherence to applicable compliance programs.
    • As key contact to the business, attends/conducts meetings to provide and receive complex information.  Answers complex inquires via phone or written correspondence requiring interpretation of policies, procedures, rules and regulations.  Liaison between users and Compliance function and ensures all stakeholders are included in the communications and status.
    • Contributes to and prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.  Ensure reports accurately depict status and compliance and risk environment.
    • Identifies, coordinates, formulates, and implements opportunity areas to ensure compliance systems/processes are optimal.  Coordinates projects and resources, monitors progress.

    Hours of work

    • Full-time Standard hours Mon – Fri;
    • Flexibility to meet business needs as required

    Essential criteria:
     Candidates should clearly state on their application form how they meet each of the essential criteria as these will be assessed during shortlisting and only these deemed to meet all of the below criteria will move forward to the next stage of the selection process

    • Degree in Finance, Business or another related field.
    • 3-4 years of knowledge/ experience in one or more of the following areas – Finance, Compliance, or Risk
    • Ability to work with highly complex projects/programs and detailed information 
    • Excellent organization skills, analytical skills and time management skills
    • Computer Skills (SharePoint, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Access and Word)  
    • Strong Communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills 
    • Ability to communicate complex information in a way that others can understand
    • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to recommend actions/process improvements
    • Must be an EU Citizen or possess a current UK work visa which entitles the holder to take up full time employment.

    Desirable criteria

    • Expanded knowledge of insurance industry and the outside marketplace preferred
    • Leadership and/or supervisory experience
    • Contact Centre or Customer service experience
    • Experience leading / managing compliance programs (aligning work with laws and regulations)

    Travel requirements

    • No travel is envisaged however flexibility may be required.
