    Job Description

    The LPM Financial Analysis job family is responsible for the development, maintenance, tracking and analysis of financial, strategic and statistical data and tools used by the Company.  This can include internal and external reporting, identifying issues and analyzing trends to strengthen the understanding of financial results.  

    As a financial Analyst/Consultant, the successful candidate will be a member of the Allstate Life and Retirement (ALR) Reporting, Plan & Analysis Team, will be based in Belfast and working closely with the Allstate Finance functions in the USA.

    The ALR Reporting, Plan & Analysis Team is primarily responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support decision making for ALR management, and the internal and external reporting of financial data by the Allstate Corporation. The team is responsible for the development, maintenance, control, tracking and analysis of financial, strategic and statistical data and tools used by management. The team provides data to and participates in formation of financial plans and forecasts and provides answers to questions regarding financial matters.

    Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to): 

    • Providing financial analysis to support business decisions
    • Reporting and analyzing financial plans, forecasts, capital related and statistical projects 
    • Investigating basic financial and/or statistical issues and questions
    • Participating and completing adhoc projects/requests
    • Preparing monthly, quarterly, annual reports and presentations of a financial nature
    • Working closely with management teams and key stakeholders in the organization

     Essential Criteria

    • Must be an EU citizen or possess a current UK Tier 1 Visa or Tier 2 visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment
    • A degree in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, or similar discipline, or
    • A non-finance degree supported by a post-graduate qualification in finance or accountancy, or
    • At least 2 years’ experience in a Finance/Accountancy role
    • Applicants must be willing and eligible to travel to the USA and

     Desirable Criteria

    • Having a logical and analytical approach
    • Good problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to communicate well, build relationships and work as part of a remote team
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office and the ability to analyze, manipulate, and interpret large amounts of data
    • Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills
