Title: Software QA /Test Consultant
Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Engagement: Full-Time
Duties:
- Defining and advising on test strategies for test delivery
- Providing advice on testing tools and leveraging them effectively within a testing activity
- Reviewing test practices and coaching the team on improvement opportunities
- Managing test delivery, ensuring the testing meets quality, time and cost objectives
- Assess project suitability for automation including completion of feasibility studies
- To undertake automated scripting activities using the appropriate tool and framework including creation and execution of scripts, preparation of reports with analysis of tests
Required Skills:
- Full awareness of the role of automation testing in the software development lifecycle
- Demonstrable experience writing and executing automation test scripts using open source and/or commercial test automation tools – Selenium, HP UFT (formerly QTP)
- Ability to design and implement test automation frameworks
- Client facing experience
- ISEB/ISTQB foundation
- Technical knowledge of or experience with some of the following tools: Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), HP Quality Center/ALM, JIRA
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven technical ability - combined with strong business acumen
Preferred Skills:
- Strong trouble shooting skills
- Experience with various Development methodologies, SDLC, Agile, V-model
- Experience of working remotely with global teams
- Microsoft ALM certification
- Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, Jmeter
