Senior Content Designer

    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:
    As a Content Designer (Senior Associate) at Kainos, you will create clear, user-centered content experiences and make use of recognised content design guidelines and principles. You will be passionate about the practice of content design and an advocate for user-centered design, design thinking and service design.
    You will be part of our growing Experience Design capability creating exemplary digital services. We are supportive, collaborative, talented, and hugely passionate about user-centred design. We are not about marketing and dark patterns; we are all about making a positive, measurable impact on millions of people through quality products and services.

    MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS
    • Audit, commission, plan, create, and edit digital content across relevant channels
    • Can design and implement content strategies and recommendations based on user needs, research and analysis
    • Extensive experience of writing for the web; proven ability to create accessible and usable content
    • Experience conducting content audits, developing taxonomies, content mapping and modelling
    • Experience producing style, governance and workflow guidelines
    • Extensive experience working with content management systems
    • Works with wider project team to establish value of content design, fights for good content strategy
    • Comfortable organising and holding content critiques
    • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
    • Sound commercial awareness

    DESIRABLE
    • Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies
    • Experience in assisting with or conducting research and analysing findings to identify content needs
    • Experience working in a full-service digital agency environment
    • Active member of relevant communities, e.g. online groups, speaking at conferences
