    Your role in the team

     

    As a Technology Risk Senior Consultant in Allstate's Enterprise Risk & Return Management organization, you'll be providing value by consulting with business leaders across the enterprise to advise on various technological risks.  You'll be responsible for supporting the implementation of an Operational Risk Return Framework and providing deep insights across business areas to provide streamlined solutions to manage operational risk.  

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

     

    • Contributes to the development of the Enterprise Risk Management program
    • Executes on strategy to implement the Operational Risk Return Management framework and optimize enterprise risk and return management strategy
    • Strong knowledge of operational risk management and its impact on the enterprise
    • Performs operational risk assessments with business units
    • Provides consultative risk management support including: monitoring, reporting, and an escalation structure to optimize risk and return
    • Reviews, researches, interprets, and analyzes operational risk data to identify trends, emerging risks, and issues
    • Organizes information and data to form hypotheses and assumptions of future impact
    • Responsible for effective independent challenge of first line risk management activities, thematic reviews and deep dives
    • Accountable to escalate and report significant issues
    • Communicates to leadership, this may include presenting information to operational risk leaders and or business unit leaders

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • 3 or more years of technology risk management related experience or related discipline
    • Strong understanding of operational risk, technology risk and governance
    • Program/project management experience
    • Experience in one or more key operational risk categories (model, business continuity, vendor, data privacy, technology, cyber, fraud), internal audit, or other operational risk area

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Undergraduate Degree or relevant experience
    • Ability to lead and influence across multiple levels
    • Highly developed relationship management, influencing and leadership skills
