This year's amazing speaker line-up sees the formidable Donald Steel deliver a keynote address. Donald Steel is a global practitioner, speaker and trainer in crisis communications and reputation protection. A former BBC chief media spokesman, Donald now works with clients across the UK, Europe, the Balkans, Asia-Pacific, Australasia and North America. His clients include major hotel groups, broadcasters, universities, hospitals, charities, UN Agencies, airlines and prominent individuals. He is also Vice-President, Global Crisis Communications at Kenyon International Emergency Services, the world’s foremost disaster response company. With bases in Houston, Bracknell, Beirut, Sydney and Santo Domingo, for more than a century Kenyon has supported clients in a wide range of emergency situations, including air crashes, natural disasters, terrorism and fire. He leads a team of senior crisis communications directors across the world, and leads at Kenyon on the impact of social and digital media on the development of a crisis. He works regularly with clients to prepare social media teams for emergencies. He is in demand as a speaker and trainer. Recent and forthcoming appearances include Singapore, Sydney, New York, Montreal, Muscat, Amman, Atlanta and Austin, Texas. He is a regular guest lecturer at the London School of Economics and the University of Westminster. He is a member of Aviation Futures, a think tank at the UK Civil Aviation Authority. Donald is based in London.

 

Ryan Feeney - Director of Strategic Communications and Engagement with the Police Service Northern Ireland in this role he is a member of the Service Executive Team leading the Strategic Communications and Engagement department which is responsible for News and Media, Public Affairs and Engagement and Digital and Creative projects.

He is also the primary communications and political advisor to the Chief Constable, the Deputy Chief Constable and Chief Operations Officer and has executive responsibility for social media and digital content.

Before taking up post in the Police Service he was Head of Public Engagement at Queen’s University, Belfast responsible for leading the University’s civic and political engagement programmes which included lobbying, advocacy and policy-oriented campaigns, promoting the University's interests at all civic levels and acting as media spokesperson. He was the curator and coordinator of the 20th Anniversary of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement Building Peace celebrations hosted by the University in April 2018.

He is a graduate of Education with Business Studies and History from St. Mary’s University College, Belfast and holds an MA in Irish History and Politics from Ulster University, an LL.M in Law, Governance and Public Policy from Queen's University, Belfast and is currently undertaking at Doctorate of Governance at the Institute of Public Administration, National University of Ireland. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). In 2013 he was the recipient of the CIM Leadership Excellence Award for best local Marketing Director.

 

Serena Terry - Founder of Catchy Co and known as "Mammy Banter" on Tik Tok and Instagram, will deliver a talk entitled: Reality vs Instagram: How the pandemic turned the tables on air brushed social media.

The event will be hosted by Ashleigh Watson MCIM, owner of Copper Square and social media consultant. Attendees will all receive a Social Media Planner & Diary for 2022 and Ashleigh will run a session on how to plan your social media marketing content in 2022.

 

This year, the event will be HYBRID - a small number of tickets are available for an in-person event in the stunning Titanic Hotel, Belfast where networking opportunities will be provided.
