Master Your Business’ Social Media: A Practical Content Creation Workshop

Social media is here and it’s here to stay. In fact, if you’re not actively creating content on social media, then you are at a disadvantage. But it’s not easy… you cannot simply create anything and throw it up online. Well, you can. But it won’t end well. In this practical half day course, you’ll learn tips, secrets and strategies that you can use to make sure that your content will have an impact. All you need is your phone.

What’s in the course and what will you learn?
In this practical half day course, hosted by Matt Stevenson, you will learn the tips, secrets and strategies that he has used to get over 30,000,000 organic online views and achieve multiple viral hits for businesses. The course will cover the entire content creation process: Planning, Filming, Editing and Publishing. The course will be hands-on with live demos, examples and techniques. Learn how to get better quality footage, make people watch your videos longer, and grow your business’ online presence.

Who’s this for?
This course is ideal for individuals who are responsible for marketing at the company they work at. It is also ideal for business owners that handle their own marketing.
This is an essential course for anyone whose role (including business owners) requires social media, content creation or organic marketing. The course will include advanced techniques but will be taught in a way that is accessible to all knowledge levels.

Course outline:

1. Planning
You will learn how to effectively plan your content in advance of your shoots to maximise efficiency and quality – this is essential for busy individuals who regularly have to juggle many responsibilities on top of content creation.
This will give you a set of guiding principles, and techniques that you can use, to ensure that your content has the best chance of success – before you even begin filming.

2. Filming
You will learn how to maximise the settings on your phone to give you the best quality footage. You’ll also learn what to do and what NOT to do when it comes to filming with your phone. We will go through some practical examples of shooting methods that you’ll be able to use to make your videos more exciting and engaging.
This will give a videographer’s perspective on filming but adapts it for those that do not have a technical background in videography/video production, including secrets and tips from Matt’s experiences with his own social media and clients.

3. Editing
You will learn how to master ‘retention editing’ with live examples. This will teach you how to edit your videos in a way that makes them irresistible to stop watching. More watch time means more engagement: resulting in more views.
This breaks down the principles of video editing and gives a plethora of new techniques you can use to improve your editing process, including secrets and tips from Matt’s experiences with his own social media and clients.

4. Publishing
You will learn about how to best publish you content online. Do you need hashtags? When should you post? What metrics do we track? You’ll have these questions answer and more - with examples.
This is a myth busting session for the most popular myths regarding online content. You’ll leave with a much clearer picture on what works on social media and what doesn’t, as well as what not to even bother doing. You’ll understand what can help your videos to perform better online.
