Exploring Cyber Security Careers

The NI Cyber Security Centre is hosting a virtual information event on 16th September to highlight the multitude of career possibilities in cyber security – a sector where you don’t have to be an IT expert to find your dream job.

Teachers, parents and post-primary students in NI are invited to register for this free event, where they will hear from cyber security industry experts and learn about the skills that are in demand.

The need for the right people to work in cyber security jobs is increasing locally and globally. Attendees will discover the variety of job roles, career paths and opportunities in cyber security, both in Northern Ireland and around the world.

The event will include a presentation from the PSNI Cyber Prevent Officer on the Computer Misuse Act 1990 and the consequences of offending, highlighting alternative pathways to make use of a talent or interest by pursuing a career in the cyber industry.
