About Women Who Code
We are a global nonprofit organisation dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers. The events we offer are: technical workshops, networking events, hackathons, social events, panel discussions, lightning talks and collaborative events with others. We help you build the skills you need to raise your professional profile and achieve greater career success. New people to the field are welcome. Or if you want to see what it could be like in this field, come to our events and we will help you!

About our Host
Over the past three years, Hayward Hawk have made their mark in the technology recruitment market, growing from a plucky start up to a team of more than 20 hawks. Along the way they’ve built a reputation for having; a unique approach focused around establishing long-term relationships, which they warmly refer to as #relationshipgoals, and a strong culture of inclusivity and encouragement.

As women make up less than a quarter of the UK workforce in industries involving science, technology, engineering and medicine, we at Hayward Hawk want to break this mould. We would like to talk about the reasons why the applications coming from females is drastically lower than male applicants for roles in both the Software and Infrastructure sectors and what is it that holds them back. Women definitely do suffer from the "Imposter Syndrome" more so than men, that voice telling you, you're not the right fit, or you're not good enough, worse still, a man would get that job over me?!
