As we come to the end of another year, I’m sure a lot of you are, like me, pulling together plans for 2023 and beyond. This time, rather than focusing on one aspect of diversity and inclusion, I’ve decided to zoom out and look at how we can do better across the board. For this Book Club I’ve chosen the recently released ‘DEI Deconstructed’ by Lily Zheng, which takes a deep dive into currently accepted ‘best practice’ in DEI, and the gap between intention and impact- with those the strategies are designed to support often feeling left behind and disillusioned.
