AI NI @ Northern Ireland Science Festival

With over 180 events across 50+ venues, the NI Science Festival offers a stimulating and wide range of events focusing on the wonders of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. AI NI have partnered with Northern Ireland Science Festival to curate an event within the fantastic Ulster Museum, presenting a panel discussion outlining the key AI activities happening across Northern Ireland.

The objective of this event is to give some insight into where AI has come from, how it impacts us today and the near-term future of AI as it relates to everyday life, to government and to healthcare.

This event brings together a panel of local experts from NI companies and universities who are using AI as part of their business in a range or areas.

The panel consists of:

Dr Austin Tanney - Head of AI at Kainos, Founder and organiser of the AINI group and facilitator of the Northern Ireland AI collaborative network.

Dr Tim Davison - CTO of BrainwaveBank

Dr Jaine Blayney - Bioinformatician at the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology

Daniel Crawford - CEO and founder of Axial3D.

After an initial lightning tour of the history of Artificial Intelligence, the panel will focus on their own experience in developing and using AI.

Note: Please signup at the link provided above, it is the only means of confirming your place at the event - confirm your attendance through Meetup (this event) as well, so we have an idea of who is attending from the AI NI community, places are limited.
