First Ever Founders Night For NI Entrepreneurs And Startups

  • Founders Night Belfast will bring together founders, investors, thought leaders and businesses in one place, for a night of networking, learning, pitching and fun.

Founders Night Belfast is a new event that will be launching on June 9 in Ormeau Baths, Belfast. It is aimed at anyone who is launching or thinking about launching a startup, anyone looking for a co-founder, anyone wanting to learn more about startups or anyone looking to network and meet other founders.

Jenna Parker, Community Manager at Ormeau Baths said “We are very excited to support Founders Night Belfast here at Ormeau Baths/ Eagle Labs. It’s a wonderful idea to bring the start up of N.I together to collaborate, share thoughts and provide a safe space where entrepreneurs can support one another. Each month will host amazing speakers, booths for showcases and interviews- this is going to be excellent for the N.I startup community.”

The first event will include fireside chats with two NI founders, Dr Phil McElnay of MedAll and Caroline Wilson of Belfast Food Tour, networking opportunities, with refreshments provided by Barclays Eagle Labs and a Startup in Focus session, where a local startup will pitch to the audience.

Speaking about the event, Gerard Donnelly, event organiser and co-founder of Legitimate said: “When the right people come together under the same roof, it can be magic. Especially when it’s founder to founder, there’s such a supportive and exciting dynamic that you don’t find anywhere else. It’s like, ‘I understand the journey that you’re on because I am on that same journey,’. Whether it’s an intimate event or a large one attracting many attendees, you never know what can come out of these connections.”
