Global business leaders to converge on Belfast for CBMC World Convention

  • Representatives from global businesses, including those in IT, construction, retail, electronics, manufacturing and engineering, will descend on Belfast from 21 – 23 June for the CBMC World Convention, ready to explore corporate opportunities.

Following in the footsteps of Orlando and Singapore the landmark event, which takes place every four years, is in Belfast for the first time.  The three-day Convention will see an audience of industry professionals gather to share networking and business opportunities.

David Martin, chairman of CBMC’s World Convention, commented:  “The world is coming to Belfast and this is a fantastic chance to meet and network with leading business people from all six continents right on your doorstep.  We are looking forward to welcoming delegates from more than 70 countries to our milestone event here in Belfast, including those travelling from America, Canada, Taiwan, Germany, Ghana, South Africa, Holland, Switzerland and Singapore, to name a few of our delegates’ home countries.

“CBMC is the world’s largest Christian business-focussed organisation and our attendees represent a wide variety of industry sectors and we would welcome other business people from across Northern Ireland to our Convention.  Coming from an industry background, those on the Convention team understand the pressures of balancing work life and faith and have built the programme with this in mind, cherry-picking world-class speakers to lead and engage our delegates.

“There are 80 hours of content across the three days of the convention with keynote addresses from Oxford professor, John Lennox, and the renowned Dr Amy Orr-Ewing.   Each element of our programme marries faith and business and shows how both can comfortably and profitably go hand-in-hand.”

There are still spaces available for the CBMC World Convention, taking place at the Waterfront Hall, from 21 – 23 June 2018 and interested business professionals may register online at

David added:  “We may be on a small island but we are connected to a wide network of like-minded people and Belfast 2018 is a place to celebrate and capitalise on this.

“You have the potential to meet a company representative that may have the perfect contract for your firm and attending this event offers business leaders from Northern Ireland the chance to share their business and services with an international audience.”
