Microsoft have been accused of 238 cases of gender discrimination or sexual harassment between 2010 and 2016, according to documents recently made public in an ongoing court case.
The complaints include systemically denying pay rises or promotions to women working at the company.
The lawsuit, Moussouris v. Microsoft Corporation, was originally filed by three current and former employees in Seattle federal court in 2015.
The plaintiff’s attorneys are looking to proceed as a class action lawsuit, but a trial has not been scheduled yet.
Microsoft’s internal review found that only one of the cases has merit and was “founded”.
“Diversity and inclusion are critically important to Microsoft,” a spokesperson for the company said in a statement. “We want employees to speak up if they have concerns and we strive to make it easy for them to do so. We take all employee concerns seriously and have a fair and robust system in place to investigate employee concerns and take appropriate action when necessary."
