NI Chamber to run new virtual leadership event in ICC Belfast's new hybrid studio

  • NI Chamber will be running a new World-Class Leadership Live event on Thursday 25th June, the first virtual event it will be running out of ICC Belfast's new hybrid studio.

Firms across the world have been adapting to remote workflows and conferences since the Covid-19 outbreak began, with many planning to stay as virtual events for safety even after the lockdown begins to lift. Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NI Chamber) has now announced it's to run a new virtual event on leadership.

The "World-Class Leadership Live" event was created to help Northern Ireland’s business leaders deal with the impact of Covid-19 and recover, and the virtual format means it will be including panel members from around the world. Attendees will hear from O'Neill's Sportswear founder Kieran Kennedy, Sodexo Group's Global Chielf Diversity and Inclusion Officer Margo Slattery, and Laith Dajani, Executive Director of William J. Clinton Leadership Institute.

The event is to take place using ICC Belfast's new hybrid studio, which uses the ICC stage to run virtual events to be streamed to remote audiences. It will be hosted by BBC Northern Ireland’s Mark Simpson, with local panelists joining him on the ICC stage and remote speakers being broadcast from locations in New York, Lebanon and Dublin.

NI Chamber Chief Executive Ann McGregor commented on the event: "As companies across Northern Ireland emerge from the ‘lock-down’ and begin the process of rebuilding, even the most experienced leaders will be tested. [...] Leadership Live is a truly world-class event and we are pleased to bring it to market at a time when we know companies need our support. The panel of speakers is made up of globally renowned experts – leaders in their own right who will share both inspiration and practical lessons. Whatever your business size or sector, we encourage you to take a couple of hours out to join online."

World-class Leadership Live will take place on Thursday 25 June from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, and attendance is free. Business leaders from across the NI tech and business world are encouraged to head over to to register their interest.
