Digital DNA Awards 2020 shortlist announced

  • The final shortlist for the Digital DNA Awards 2020 has been announced, with 13 categories highlighting the depth of the tech industry in Northern Ireland.

    The categories are as follows:

    -          App of the Year

    -          Digital Innovation of the Year

    -          Best Digital Marketing Campaign

    -          eCommerce Project of the Year

    -          Tech for Good Project of the Year

    -          Young person of the Year

    -          Developer of the Year

    -          Founder of the Year

    -          Business Personality of the Year

    -          Best Large Tech Company of the Year

    -          Best Small Tech Company of the Year

    -          Startup of the Year

    -          Best Workplace of the Year

    Digital DNA revealed they received in excess of 300 entries from over 160 companies.

    Some nominees this year made the winning list of 2019’s awards cohort. SaltDNA’s Joe Boyle has been shortlisted for this year’s founder of the year, having received highly commended status for 2019’s business personality of the year.  Danske Bank was highly commended for digital project of the year in 2019, and has been shortlisted this year for Digital Innovation of the Year.

    Some companies and individuals have been shortlisted in two or more categories, such as Derry-based software firm Elemental. It has been nominated for ‘Best Small Tech of the Year’ and its co-founders Leeann Monk-Özgül and Jennifer Neff share a shortlisted nomination for ‘Founder of the Year’.

    The awards ceremony will take place at the ICC Belfast on Thursday 26 March.
