Scaffold Digital and Derry Bros Shipping win award for digital transformation

Local shipping company Derry Bros Shipping is celebrating its big win at this year's DANI awards thanks to a major digital transformation project with Scaffold Digital.

Last week we reported the full list of winners for this year's DANI awards, celebrating the top digital businesses across Northern Ireland in a wide range of categories. Northern Irish family-owned company Derry Bros is currently celebrating its win in the Digital Transformation category thanks to a major overhaul project with Scaffold Digital.

Scaffold Digital worked with the firm to analyse its current business practices and devise digital replacements for each of them, speeding up the company's internal processes while also providing an online presence and e-commerce capabilities. Derry Bros Shipping's Brigid Derry explained:

"The implementation of this technology-based solution has significantly reduced the requirement for administration staff to manually enter bookings. As a result, we have been able to focus more staff time on proactively driving sales which has generated 20% annual growth in our business. Self-service bookings through the app also outperformed tele-sales bookings by 120% on key accounts from September 2018 to January 2019. This shows that customers want a facility that allows for bookings to be made at a time that works best for them."
