SaltDNA announces new secure video calling service

  • Belfast-based cyber-security company SaltDNA has announced its new secure video call technology at the RSA security conference.

Every company with offices around the world knows it needs to secure communications between its staff, but what stops information shared on a secure communication medium from being reshared on an insecure one? That's the challenge that Belfast based cybersecurity firm SaltDNA took on when it launched its closed communication platform for enterprise customers.

The company has now announced that it's added secure video chat to its services, allowing offices to conduct video conferences without worrying about information leaks. The service is being trialled by a small group of the firm's enterprise customers in a closed beta test and is scheduled for full rollout this summer.

SaltDNA's Head of Marketing John Bailie said: "We understand that the importance of security is growing for global organisations, but we also understand that building personal relationships is of monumental importance in today's business environment. Our secure video calling capabilities allows users to combine these important aspects of 21st business to secure important information in the most secure and personable way possible."
